College Preview Dates

College Preview Dates

These are some dates that colleges have provided to me for campus preview days.  It is a great opportunity to get a glimpse of the colleges and universities in our state.  Take advantage of these dates and go visit.  Take some friends and go.  You do not have to be a senior to attend.  If I receive a poster, I will post it on the bulletin board outside my office or by your lockers.  If you need to use my phone or computer to contact a college, just let me know.  I will update this page when I receive dates.

University of Oklahoma
We are setting off on another successful year. Last year was a record-breaking year in terms of retention rates and application numbers. We are hoping they continue to soar. We are doing all that we can do not only to attract students to the University but to ensure students have no obstacles that stand in the way of them graduating as a Sooner.
A few important things to for the application season ahead:
• There are two apps for OU, the common app and OU app. Use either one – we have no preference.
• Apply by 12/15 to be considered for all incoming freshman awards. This does not mean that counselors need scramble for each late applicant, but the student does need to submit the app prior to 12/15.
• We hope to make initial fin aid awards by January. In order for us to process financial aid for students, they must be admitted and have filed a FAFSA. Opens Oct 1 and we want them to apply by 12/15.
